EUgrade (eugrade.eu) compares how European cloud, AI and software products really are. We collect as little as possible. This page explains what we do process, why, where it is stored and for how long.
Questions or requests about your data: hi@eugrade.eu.
In short
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising.
- No third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Every page is served from our own hosting.
- Search, sorting and filtering run in your browser. What you type is not sent to us.
- We only receive what you choose to send: an error report or an email.
Visiting the site
The site is hosted by Site B.V. in the Netherlands. Like any web server, the hosting may record technical data such as your IP address, the time and the page you requested, to keep the service running and secure. We do not use these logs for analytics or profiling, and we do not combine them with other data. They are kept for the hosting provider's standard retention period.
Links to vendor websites and sources take you to sites we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Reporting an error
When you use the report form, we receive:
- the page and the fact you are reporting, and the value shown on it;
- your description of what is wrong;
- the source link you add, if any.
The form does not ask for your name or email address. Please do not include personal data in your report.
Where it is stored: your report is saved as an issue in our private project on GitHub, a service of GitHub, Inc. in the United States. This means your report is transferred to and stored in the United States. Only the EUgrade team can see it. If you prefer not to use GitHub, email your report to hi@eugrade.eu instead.
Spam protection: to limit the number of reports per sender, our server keeps a salted, one-way hash of your IP address for at most one day. We cannot read your IP address from it, and it is deleted automatically.
Why: to check and correct the facts on EUgrade. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in publishing accurate information (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long: a report stays in the project while we check it. Closed reports remain in the project history as a record of how a fact was corrected. If your report contains personal data, ask us and we will remove it.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you. We keep the email for as long as needed to handle your question, and delete it when it is no longer needed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Sharing
We do not sell or share your data. Apart from the hosting and GitHub mentioned above, no one receives it, unless the law requires us to.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a usable format. Email hi@eugrade.eu; we answer within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we start using something new, such as a newsletter or payments, we update this page first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
